The Challenge

Across the world, many coastal and island communities still rely on diesel generation. It’s expensive to operate, vulnerable to supply-chain disruptions, and incompatible with urgent climate goals.

Our solution

Yourbrook’s system harnesses predictable tidal currents, converts that energy into pressurized water, and uses pump-storage to smooth output; this provides continuous, dispatchable power from a cyclic resource.

What makes it different

  • Above-surface, permanently mounted design for easier access and simpler maintenance.

  • Adjustable swash plate maintains performance across a wide range of flow velocities (including lower speeds).

  • Pump-storage provides continuity through slack tide.
